Welcome to the Smith Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University

Our laboratory employs neurophysiological and computational approaches to study the primate visual system. Specifically, we are interested in the dynamics of visual processing at the level of individual neurons and populations, and we try to relate cortical circuits to visual perception using a range of experimental approaches.

The laboratory is directed by Matthew A. Smith.
